Building Community, One Home at a Time

Rebuilding Together believes that everyone deserves to live in a safe and healthy home. Our focus is to provide critical repairs, accessibility modifications and energy efficient upgrades to low-income homes and community centers at no cost to service recipients.

  • As the most cost effective home repair program in the country we strive to make them safe and healthy for local families each year.
  • Our impact extends beyond the individuals served to revitalize and stabilize vulnerable neighborhoods and communities across the country.
  • For 14 years, we have been dedicated to helping low-income homeowners with critical home repairs and modifications for accessibility and aging in place.

According to the AARP Foundation:

  • By 2030, one in every five Americans will be over age 65, and our nation will face a severe shortage in appropriate housing to meet their needs.
  • As people age, they need housing that is structurally and mechanically safe and that accommodates people with disabilities.
  • As Boomers get older, their need for safe and affordable housing grows more critical. Yet today, approximately 13 million low-income 50+ households in America cannot afford their housing costs and/or live in inadequate housing.

and . . .

Many are paying over 30 percent of their household income to maintain housing that barely meets their physical needs. Many find themselves forced to choose between paying their mortgage or rent and buying groceries or medications.

Our committed volunteers rehabilitate numerous homes and community sites each year - 2014 will be another exciting year as we assist more than a dozen families, as well as organizations serving our Veterans, troubled teens and people with disabilities.
